Kirkwood Electric has always been on the forefront of clean energy developments in Missouri. Kirkwood’s membership in the Missouri Public Utility Alliance has enabled the department to partner with other municipal utilities to help develop utility scale wind and solar projects in the state. Kirkwood Electric’s Wind Power

Kirkwood Electric is still on schedule to receive 25 MW from the Clean Line Green Belt project. This project not only makes sense from an environmental point of view, but also saves Kirkwood Electric customers significant dollars over the next 20 years.
