Big Boy Steam Engine No. 4014 at the Kirkwood Train Station

We’re thrilled that the Big Boy Steam Engine will be stopping in Kirkwood for 30 minutes on August 30th at 9am! We would like everyone who is able to have the opportunity to view and enjoy the historic steam engine locomotive as safely as possible. Your safety is our priority.
We ask all onlookers to observe the safety guidelines and road closure information in the below image. Most importantly, never assume tracks are inactive - ALWAYS expect a train, remain behind all fencing and crossing arms, stay at least 25 feet away from the train tracks, and do not trespass into the Union Pacific right of way.
We also ask viewers to move through the viewing area shortly after they have taken their photos to provide everyone with the opportunity to do the same.
If you would like more time to view and take photos with the steam engine, it will be on display from 9am to 3pm on Sunday August 29th Poplar St. & S.16th St. in St. Louis. It will also make a stop in Pacific, MO from 10:15am to 10:45am on the 30th.
