City offices & the Community Center will be closed Monday January 18th for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Sanitation will not be collected on the holiday and all routes will be delayed by one day all week. No Special/Bulky pickups will be scheduled on Friday January 22nd.
We are encouraging residents to participate in the MLK Day of Service. The Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Jan. 18, 2021, is the 26th anniversary of the day of service that celebrates the Civil Rights leader’s life and legacy. Observed each year on the third Monday in January as “a day on, not a day off,” MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.
Below are a few opportunities in the St. Louis area where our residents can volunteer and participate in this day of service.
We look forward to your engagement and accomplishments in Dr. King's memory!
